Apple Pie Class
1 p.m. in the Great Hall
Autumn = Good Old Apple Pie
Bring your rolling pin, knife, pastry brush, and cutting board and come learn how to make good old-fashioned apple pie on September 30 at 1 p.m. in the Great Hall. We will wing it without recipes or measurements in this one-hour, hands-on class, but Jean Johnson will help all find their inner Julia Child. Each participant will leave with a small pie to bake at home.
All ages are welcome, although kids under 16 need an adult in tow. Please sign up ahead of time with Jonathan in the church office as the class is limited to 15 people.
We will work with organic ingredients: whole-wheat pastry flour, butter, sugar, green apples, lemons, and “girls on grass” eggs.
Jean Johnson has taught cooking classes through the Multnomah County Library system for 10 years.
