Thanksgiving Food Drive

Now through Friday, November 20, Westminster will be collecting nonperishable food and other items to benefit the people served by the Northeast Emergency Food Program (NEFP) and Mainspring Portland. In addition to pantry staples like peanut butter, cereal, and canned goods, the agencies are seeking packaged food for the holidays such as stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, gravy mix, etc. Please drop off your donations at the church entrance at the corner of NE 16th Avenue and NE Schuyler Street during our office hours of 10 a.m. through 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Just push the door buzzer to let us know you have a donation, and we’ll let you in. If you can’t make it to church, you can make a financial donation online to either organization at https://emoregon.org/nefp/give/ or http://www.mainspringpdx.org/donate. For more information, see the November issue of the Chimes newsletter. Although the church will not hold its own Thanksgiving meal this year in the Great Hall, we can still help others have a blessed, bountiful holiday.
