Westminster Presbyterian Church is seeking a Half-time Interim Associate Pastor for Youth or a Half-time Interim Director of Youth Ministries.
The Interim Associate Pastor or Interim Director of Youth Ministries is responsible for providing Christian Education and Fellowship opportunities for the youth of the Church and others from grade six to twelve. The Associate Pastor or Director is also responsible for integrating these programs into the life of the Church and the families of the youth. This position will begin September 1, 2019. The person hired for this interim position may apply for the permanent position.

-Plan and implement a relationship based Christian Education and Fellowship program for the Church’s youth from Grade six to twelve
-Organize and lead a Senior High Mission Trip annually including its funding and Middle School Summer Mission Event.
-Work with the Pastoral Staff to teach a confirmation class annually or bi-annually
-Integrate the families of youth into the program.
-Work with other parts of the Church to integrate the youth into the life of the congregation, working for programs that are more intergenerational.
-Provide regular communication to the youth and their families.
-Prepare and manage the youth program budget
-Recruit, train and affirm volunteers for the youth program
-Staff support for the Youth Committee
-Member of the Church’s staff
-M. Div. or College degree preferred
-Experience working with youth in a Christian environment preferred
-Basic computer skills
-Physical capability to participate in youth activities
-Pass a criminal background check and willingness to be a mandatory reporter
-Personal faith in Jesus Christ
