Camps
The purpose of the Presbytery of the Cascades Summer Camp program is to nurture individuals in their relationship to Jesus Christ through the unique experience of Christian camping. The camps are open to all regardless of church affiliation, and welcome campers who may have little or no experience in faith or church. Campers encounter God through the experience of worship, exploring the wonder of God’s creation, Bible-focused lessons, and Christian community. In keeping with our Christian Reformed tradition, we seek to help campers make a connection between their lives and the stories of faith in the Bible in ways that free them to follow Jesus Christ. For each camper we pray that camp becomes part of their journey to better knowing God’s Son. The camps cover a range of ages and our program is designed with the mental, social, physical, and spiritual development of the camper in mind. We offer the joy of recreation and play in a safe community which teaches non-violent communication and respect for each individual as somebody made in the image of God. We recognize that campers learn in many different ways, and focus on providing a wide range of experiences that campers can participate in.
