2010 Confirmation Journey

RE:                  2010 Confirmation Schedule/Activities Leading up to Easter

Let me take this opportunity to thank those of you who have attended the initial meetings of the 2010 Confirmation Journey for your enthusiastic participation and openness.  We look forward to continuing our weekly gatherings WEDNESDAYS FROM 3:30-4:30 P.M. through March 3 (we will adjust our meeting time as needed based on spring sports schedules.)  This letter is an invitation to any young person who is still interested in being involved in this year’s Journey. Please note that I need to know by Wednesday, February 3, if you are going to be on board for 2010!
 
Below is the outline for the 2010 Confirmation Journey.  I will forward details  regarding the Retreat (March 12-13), Holy Week, which is March 28 (Palm Sunday) through Easter, April 4, and our role in leading Worship on Good Friday, April 2, by late February.  We will work diligently to accommodate your schedules as much as possible; the more lead time we have of any conflict, the more leeway we have in adjusting so that everyone will be able to participate fully!  The weekly “excursions”  are “glimpses” into our experience of faith as Presbyterians and are designed to reflect your interests.  The Retreat includes an overnight at the beach, and promises to be a highlight of our journey, so please save the date!  If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 503-287-1289, x. 16.  We will begin each Wednesday in Room B (under the Sanctuary), but be prepared for a variety of destinations!  If you have to miss a session, let me know so we can catch you up later - Thanks.
