At its meeting on August 27, the Session agreed to the Reverend Beth Neel’s request to call a meeting of the congregation to ask the Presbytery to dissolve the pastoral relationship. There will be a meeting of the congregation after worship on Sunday, September 8, to act on Beth’s request and to approve new terms of call for the Reverend Gregg Neel, who will become the full-time Head of Staff (per the Book of Order). Two letters went out in the mail about this: one from Beth (https://westprespdx.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Letter-from-Beth-8-27-24.pdf) and one from the Personnel Committee and Session (https://westprespdx.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Letter-from-Clerk-and-Personnel-8-27-24.pdf). Beth’s last Sunday with us will be September 22.
