On the first two Sundays in November, the 3rd and the 10th, our deacons will be our hosts during fellowship time in the Great Hall after worship (about 11:30 a.m.). They’ll be pouring coffee and tea, dishing doughnuts, and generally just being here for us. We also hope to have folks available to chat about signing up for ushering and for opportunities to update your directory photo. We hope you will take the opportunity to meet your deacon if you haven’t already. We will have a list available to let you know who your assigned deacon is. If you’re thinking, “Assigned deacons? This sounds like that parish group/parish leader thing that they were trying before,” that’s true—but we’re doing away with the “parish” language, as we’ve realized that this can be confusing. Going forward, we’ll just be here for you as your deacons. We look forward to connecting with you!
