Sunday, May 18, is Children and Youth Sunday in worship, and we’re offering two ways for kids to get involved. Our Angel Choir (for kids from preschool to fifth grade), led by Director Jennifer Holman, will be presenting in worship that day. Kids will rehearse in advance, and we’ll provide recorded music for families so kids can practice at home. Rehearsals will be May 4 (during worship; kids rejoin their families for communion), May 11 (during worship/Sunday School), and May 18 (arriving at 10 a.m. to rehearse before worship).
The second opportunity is to join our Boomwhacker Choir (for kids from first to fifth grade). Boomwhackers are long plastic tubes that each have a note, kind of like a handbell, but more thwacky. They are a really fun way to make music! We need a few kids to play a short song or two during worship on May 18. On May 4, May 11, and May 18, we’ll have rehearsals in the Sunday School room from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. (Parents: Please feel free to drop your kids off and go for a coffee or walk before church.)
