Saturday, August 19: “Malcolm X”
On Saturday, August 19, at 4 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room, the film will be “Malcolm X.” Directed by Spike Lee, this biopic presents the life Malcolm X, the Black leader sometimes portrayed as the ideological opposite of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.—though in reality the men share many common views. The movie stars Denzel Washington and Angela Bassett. (Running time: 3 hours, 22 minutes)
