Building Closed

Beginning Saturday, March 14, all worship services, meetings, and activities are cancelled through Saturday, March 28th.  All organizations using the Westminster building will not be meeting in the building during this time period.

The Westminster Session met March 12 in a special meeting to pray and make decisions about the best ways Westminster can provide spiritual care and pay attention to everyone’s physical well being.  Following the best information and advice we had , the Session has decided not to hold public worship this Sunday March 15 or the next Sunday, March 22nd.  The Session will meet again March 24tn to decide how to best care for one another.

Worship
The Westminster staff is providing a worship experience two different ways for March 15 & 22.  First at 10:30 am you can join a live stream through Facebook, even if you are not a Facebook user.  Michael Barnes will play an organ prelude, a scripture will be read, a sermon will be preached, there will be a musical selection, prayers will be offered, and a blessing will be given.  We imagine this will be a 30 minute worship experience. If you have any prayer requests, please e-mail Gregg at gneel@westprespdx.org.

Directions to join live stream
Please visit https://www.facebook.com/westprespdx after 10:25 a.m. on Sunday. You should be able to view the live stream even without a facebook account. This is a new experience for us, so please be patient with any technical difficulties as we figure it out.

Second worship option
On Sunday, you can visit https://westprespdx.org/sunday-worship/ to view the order of service, watch and read the sermon, and listen to the music planned for Sunday. Please note this is order of service originally planned for Sunday and may be different from the live stream.

Building is Closed until Saturday, March 28th.
To provide good care for each other including the staff, the building will be closed through Saturday, March 28th.  Committees and small groups may choose to meet by videoconferencing or conference call.  Exception to this plan can be made by contacting Jonathan Dyer or the Neels through e-mail.  For instance, some members of the Session will be meeting in the building, Tuesday, March 24th.

Limited staff will be in the office 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please do not hesitate to call.
