It’s time for “Christmas in July,” our month-long drive to collect food for the people served by the Northeast Emergency Food Program (NEFP). People from all over northwest Oregon and southwest Washington come to NEFP for food, and the need for food donations remains high. Currently, NEFP’s biggest needs are for peanut butter, rice, cooking oil, dry (not canned) pinto beans and black beans, condiments, and seasonings. (Please, no expired items and no glass containers.)
To donate to Christmas in July, please drop off food at the church during the month of July. You can bring your donations to the 16th Avenue entrance during the church’s weekday office hours or bring them with you to church on Sunday morning. On weekdays, ring the buzzer at the 16th Avenue entrance and let us know you’re here to drop off food. The collection area is right inside the door. If you’d like to help financially, you can make a check to the church and put “Christmas in July” in the memo line. You can also give on our website (visit westprespdx.org and click “online giving”) and write “Christmas in July” in the memo field. Thank you.
