CROP Hunger Walk

The annual Portland CROP Hunger Walk to raise awareness and funding to fight hunger is Sunday, April 28. Of the funds raised, 75% go to Church World Service and 25% go to the Northeast Emergency Food Program. The walk starts at 2 p.m.; please arrive by 1:30 p.m. for registration. The starting and ending locations are at First Christian Church in Portland, and the route is a lovely, two-mile, ADA-accessible stroll across the Tilikum and Hawthorne bridges. If you can support the walk through a donation, please either mail your check to us (make it out to Westminster and put “CROP Walk” in the memo line) or go to our website to give. On our website, westprespdx.org, click the “online giving” button, then choose the CROP Walk option in the fund field’s dropdown menu. If you would like to participate in the walk, or if you would like to donate directly to Westminster’s team page, you can visit https://events.crophungerwalk.org/cropwalks/team/westminster-presbyterian-church-portland. (Please be aware that Raleigh Hills Presbyterian is also having their walk on the same day, so make sure you register for the Portland walk!) Contact Beth Outterson or the church office for more information.
