October 2nd Food Drive

Our next monthly food drive will be this Sunday, October 2, in the parking lot after worship, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The theme is all things juice and crackers, in honor of communion, and it reminds us that Jesus transformed the simple elements of bread and wine into the bread of life and the cup of salvation for us. Here are some juice and cracker suggestions: juice boxes, sports drinks (re-charging ourselves with the electrolytes of worship), bottled/boxed teas (steeping ourselves in scripture and prayer), individual cracker-packs, energy bars, granola bars, cheese/cracker combo packs, and tuna/cracker combo packs. Individual-size items which do not require refrigeration are preferred. Donations will benefit the Northeast Emergency Food Program and one of its partners, All Good Northwest. (Note: All Good Northwest can accept glass, though NEFP cannot.) We will also be having a bake sale to raise money for NEFP. For more information, contact Chelle Hammer or the church office.
