On Friday, November 13, at 2:30 p.m., Jackie Farah will host a Zoom book discussion about The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson. Through the lives of three unrelated individuals, Isabel Wilkerson takes us into the Great Migration of almost 6 million people fleeing the Jim Crow laws of the Southern states. Based on her remarkable interviews and research, Wilkerson provides vivid accounts of Black citizens’ decisions, travel, and challenging task of settling into new communities.
