On Sunday, November 21, at 7 p.m., the Racial Justice Working Group presents a screening of “Backs Against the Wall: The Howard Thurman Story” in the Great Hall. Masks are required. “Backs Against the Wall” is a moving documentary on the extraordinary life and legacy of one of the most important religious figures of the 20th century. Following, there will be a discussion led by David Groff and Sid Birt. This is one of three events focusing on the role of Howard Thurman in the development of Black theology:

- February—Book study of Thurman’s Jesus and the Disinherited in Zoom format
