Beginning November 9 and continuing through November 20, the Windjammers Mariners Group is hosting a drive for sweatshirts and gloves to benefit Operation Nightwatch, a nonprofit organization supporting the low-income and unhoused community. The 25 sweatshirts collected during the spring drive were very appreciated, and with homelessness increasing and a cold winter ahead, the need is even greater now. Most needed are sweatshirts in sizes large and extra large, as well as warm winter gloves in sizes large and extra large. All donations should be either new or lightly used and clean. Please bring your donations to the church on a weekday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., entering at the door at the corner of 16th Avenue and Schuyler Street. Push the door buzzer to be let in and place your donation in the container marked “Operation Nightwatch Sweatshirts and Gloves Drive.” Thank you!
