This year, Westminster will offer two Ash Wednesday services on March 5. At 5:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room, there will be a very brief (about 15 minutes) child-centered service. The service includes a children’s story, an age-appropriate description of what Ash Wednesday is, and an opportunity for children and their families to receive ashes if they wish. Our traditional service will be offered at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. We will offer the imposition of ashes, giving you the opportunity to receive the anointing of the cross on your forehead if you wish. Neither service will be livestreamed. Please leave extra time for parking, as another group is using the building that evening, so our lot may be full.
