This is the day the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

AN ACT OF PRAISE

*WESTMINSTER CHIMES

*INVITATION TO WORSHIP The Rev. Gregg Neel
God, this morning we gather to witness.
You bring glory to the earth, from the deepest valley to the highest mountain.
Lord, today you gather us to listen.
You call us to go and bring good news to your people.
The Holy Spirit has invited us to this place where heaven and earth meet.
We will expect great things and still be amazed.

*INVITATION TO CONFESSION The Rev. Gregg Neel
Even as we enter into God’s presence with praise,
we fall back; we come up short.
Who can stand in the presence of the Lord?
No one is righteous before the Holy One.
But God remembers our creation from just a handful of dust
and looks upon us with compassion. Trusting in God’s steadfast love,
let us confess our sins together, first in silent prayer.

*SILENT PRAYER

*UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Lord of all creation, you have called us each by name. We are yours, and yet, what is yours is not ours. Your ways are not our ways. We cling to the illusion of control where we have none. We neglect our covenants with you and one another. Grant us your grace and peace in the midst of our brokenness. Forgive us. Help us to trust more. Guide us to be good stewards of your creation. Teach us to delight in your promises to us. Amen.

*ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
Friends, you are forgiven and loved and transformed. It’s not an easy peace, not an insignificant peace, not a half-hearted peace, but the peace of Christ that is with you.

*THE PASSING OF THE PEACE
The peace of Christ be with you all.
And also with you.

PASTORAL PRAYER AND THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
