The labyrinth has been used since ancient times for spiritual contemplation. In the Middle Ages, Christians began walking labyrinth paths for meditation and prayer. Westminster has a labyrinth path available on the third Saturday of the month, from 4 to 5 p.m., in the Great Hall. The design is a replica of the labyrinth created in the stone floor of France’s Chartres Cathedral in the 1300s.
Anyone interested is welcome to come walk the path during the time it is available. No appointment nor RSVP is needed. For more information, contact the church office at info@westprespdx.org.
